Resumo

The article offers a concise overview of the historical and ideological foundations shaping the political landscape of the Jewish-Zionist movement in late 19th-century Europe, culminating in the establishment of the State of Israel through the UN-sanctioned occupation of Arab-Palestinian territory in 1948. It traces the ideological evolution of Zionism, entwining it with the trajectories of influential figures like Theodor Herzl, Vladimir Jabotinsky, and Menachem Begin. These trajectories elucidate the intricate connections between Zionism, British imperialism, Italian fascism under Benito Mussolini's regime, and Nazism during Adolf Hitler's governance. The article asserts the thesis that across various manifestations, from the 1948 Israeli governments under Ben Gurion to the current administration led by Benjamin Netanyahu, Zionism has consistently embodied an institutional fascist stance against the Arab-Palestinian population.
