Considerações sobre a história quantitativa

Abstract

The piece of work is a theoric approach of the quantitative method applied to history. It specifies the tendencies of quantitative history, identifying three currents: serial history, the atual quantitative and new economic history. Finaly, it tries to stablish the importance and the limitations of quantitative history, alnalysing its connections with social history.
