Sobre a musealização de acervos Iny-Karajá: desafios e possibilidades para uma prática decolonial.

Abstract

In this article, I present aspects of the musealization of Iny-Karajá collections, indicating the barriers and potentialities in the contemporary scenario. Inspired by the decolonial practice and the ethnographic experience lived in the project “Araguaia River: place of memories and identities” I seek to bring reflections about the processes of collecting the Iny-Karajá people, starting from a brief description of the research trajectory and formation of collections of this people. Then, I present some premises and concepts of the musealization process and about decoloniality. Finally, I present the Rio Araguaia project, highlighting two musealization experiences that demonstrate the challenges and possibilities evidenced by the interface between Archeology, Anthropology and Museology and, more than that, from intercultural dialogue.
