O objeto cotidiano e a obra de Lúcia Nogueira

Abstract

The present work intents to analyze artist's Lucia Nogueira body of work which contains daily use objects, researching within the Theory of the non-object of Ferreira Gullar and Marcel Duchamp's "The creator act" the base for the decision on the object in contemporary art. The artist's work is subdivided for further analysis, according to the thematic approximations observed between the different aspects of objects: the dangerous, the precarious, the hidden and the absent. Later, I demonstrate the role of ordinary objects in my own production as an artist, and how analyzing Lucia Nogueira's work had an impact on my understanding of the object.
