Resumo
The hantavirus is an anthropozoonosis emerging in Brazil, and lethality in around 40
%. The wild rodents are their main reservoirs and the infections are related to the
contact with aerosols of urine, feces and saliva infected. In the Federal District (DF),
its occurrence is recognized since 2004, but little is known about the spatial
distribution and geographical conditions, socio-economic and environmental that
supports the transmission. This study has as objective, perform spatial analysis of
cases of hantavirus infection in Federal District by means of Global Moran Index and
analysis of Hotspots through the algorithm Getis-Ord Gi * , in order to identify spatial
clusters that may characterize the distribution of hantavirus infection in the Distrito Federal. The RA-IV (Brazlândia) and RA-VIII (Paranoá) showed a high incidence in
the period 2004 to 2010. The results obtained by means of the Index of Global Moran
demonstrated greater autocorrelation in the administrative regions RA VI (Planaltina)
and RA VII (Paranoá) and are considered critical regions for the occurrence of
hantavirus infection. In This way it is necessary to conduct studies applied to these
administrative regions, which would allow a more detailed look, these environments,
where were found clusters of importance for hantaviruses, and if possible, combine
the other tools statistics and epidemiological.
