Resumo
This present work is a proposal for cataloging the collection of photographs of the Escola Municipal Professor Moacir Monclar Brandão, in Goiania - GO. Therefore we realized a literature review and it was necessary to resort to various authors who deal about the topic to the themes: history of photography, cataloging, image, description, image, audiovisual document; thematic and conceptual analysis of photographic images, treatment and technical concepts of conservation, preservation and restoration. For preparation of the card catalog was adopted the Code of AACR2 cataloging (2002), which rules the standardization of cataloging the international aid data processing in conjunction with models of catalog cards surveyed in cultural institutions (museums and center documentation), that we visited to verify the methodology used to create this model of the card catalog of photographs. Based on this catalog card, the aim is it corresponds to the needs of recovery. This work is a case study and is classified as exploratory and applied with a qualitative approach.
