Resumo
This study investigates how art practices associated with the concept of unwalling childhood (desemparedamento da infância) can promote creative and meaningful learning in Early Childhood Education, contributing to the integral development of children. The research is grounded in the theoretical framework of the concept of desemparedamento proposed by Tiriba, in Vygotsky’s understanding of art as a cultural tool, and in the guidelines of the Brazilian National Common Curricular Base (BNCC), which recognizes contact with nature as a learning right in childhood. This is a qualitative, applied research study, developed through a bibliographic review, observations of pedagogical practices, and the creation of an Artistic Ideas Portfolio. The analyses indicate that the integration of art and nature enhances children’s sensitivity, imagination, autonomy, and their connection with the environment, reaffirming desemparedamento as a powerful and humanizing pedagogical practice. It is concluded that the articulation between art and nature constitutes a fundamental pathway toward a sensitive, creative, and transformative education, offering both theoretical and practical contributions to teaching practice in Early Childhood Education.
