Resumo
Space, Subject and Existance, linked to Laboter/IESA/UFG whose main objective is to promote an approach between Geography and Literature to discover if it can give to the geographical speech/making some degree of access to the knowledge beyond the hegemonic racionality. The nuclear quest that moves the reflections is: How is it possible to approach Geography and Literature, keeping the tradition of knowledge and the symbolic pretensions of each one of these human labor fields, promoting a dialogue in order to enrich the geographic way of reading the world? Would Literature be a kind of lens able to strengthen Geography as a way to understand the other’s viewpoint? Given this, we argue that the geographical analysis needs to overcome the kind of approach that uses and instrumentalizes Literature to illustrate and document the reality. In our view, Literature not only informs to the geographical discourse that narrative is polysemous – and so is also the reality / the lived space – but also invites the geographer to assume the role of narrator, crossed by all the subjectivity that this place presupposes.
