Ensino de conceitos científicos no contexto da surdez: uma leitura segundo a perspectiva sócio-histórica

Resumo

The processes of elaboration of concepts occur if the subject is inserted in the social environment and in contact with others. The deaf understand the world through the sign language that is visuo-spatial, so the apprehension of scientific concepts will occur if symbolic mediation provides this understanding. Based on the above, this action research aimed to evaluate the process of apprehension of scientific concepts, in the midst of the use of imaging resources during classes with a deaf student in the premises of the Laboratory of Sciences of a Public University. Our results allow us to infer that the deaf student is favored when using the appropriate imaging resources, and when sign language is a mediator of intellectual operations by the deaf.
