Avaliação da atividade antinociceptiva do extrato hidroalcóolico das folhas e galhos de croton sacaquinha croizat (euphorbiaceae)

Resumo

The objective of this study was to evaluate the antinociceptive activity and the effect on leukocytes migration of hidroalcoolic extract (EHA) obtained from Croton sacaquinha branches and barks. For this purpose were utilized male Swiss mice submitted to the acetic acid-induced writhes test, formalin test, hot-plate test and the carragenaan induced peritonitis test. The EHA showed an antinociceptive activity in the acetic acid-induced writhes and in the 2 nd phase of formalin test also reducing the leukocytes migration. The extract was ineffective in the other tests. These results suggest an antinociceptive activity of the plant which could be related to anti-inflammatory mechanisms. This work may confirm the use of C. sacaquinha in the popular medicine for its analgesic properties.
