Aspectos culturais dos imigrantes Árabes no Estado de São Paulo: design para livro digital interativo

Abstract

The work in question promotes the cultural aspects involving the Arab people and their immigration to the state of São Paulo, and how the history of these people is made invisible in the face of all their contributions to the development of the capital. In view of this, an interactive digital book was developed that uses photomontage and Arab-Islamic visual aesthetics as an image resource. In this way, it aims to transcend the stigmas and prejudices that label this community, applying activist design, which plays a role in visual communication, but also as a social tool that tells the story and culture, promoting debates and reflections. Since this work begins by establishing the basis of the study on the parts that involve the research, such as Arab culture, the immigration of these people to the state of São Paulo, photomontages, activist design and interactivity. In view of this, the elaboration of similar studies, creation of a script, layout, development of visual identity and structuring of the screens for interactivity. The aim is to be an informative book that makes stories hidden by prejudice visible, easy to understand and access.
