Abstract

This article aims to reestablish a link between Sandra Jatahy Pesavento’s historiographical production and the studies and research of history in Goiás. Aditionally, it discusses her significant role in the creation of both lato and stricto sensu postgraduate courses at Pontificia Universidade Católica de Goiás. As an intellectual and human reference, emphasis is also given to her contribution to the shaping of cultural history and the academic background of historians whose works relate history, art and culture.
