Resumo
The aim of this paper is to analyse the autonomy and occupation of political space by the women of
the Xingu, with an emphasis on the work and organization of ATIX-Women. As protagonists in the
struggle of indigenous peoples, indigenous women stand out for their work on various fronts, from
production and land management to health and education. The Xingu Women's Movement played a
crucial role, especially in drawing up the Indigenous Women's Charter and building the Indigenous
Women's March. The analysis of this action is justified by the need to understand the mobilizations
undertaken and the multiplicity of dynamics in the occupation of political space, in addition to
relating the specificities of the Xingu to the indigenous cause in Brazil. The research was based on
bibliographical discussion and analysis of documents and information available online, and was
organized into two chapters
