O lugar, a paisagem e a cultura ribeirinha no rio de Ondas – Barreira s– Bahia

Abstract

The renewed Cultural Geography has, in the last thirty years, revealed other perspectives, reflections and specially problem-posing about the space with the critical and humanist perception about the landscapes, the places and the territories. This article is the result of different analyses on the riverine communities of the lower Ondas river, Barreiras municipality - Bahia state and it belongs to the Geography doctoral degree thesis in the Federal University of Goiás and also to the research project Territory appropriation and socio-environmental dynamics in the Cerrado: biodiversity, biotechnology and local knowledge. The main goal is to understand how the landscape and the place is built by the traditional riverine populations and in what manner these analyses categories present other (re)construction ways of the space in which one lives facing the value interventions that have come to change the singular relations caused by the socio-environmental problems appearance.
