Adsorção do corante reativo azul BF-5G em bagaço de malte bruto e lavado

Resumo

Adsorption is prominent in wastewater purification due to its ability to remove contaminants that are not easily removed by conventional treatment processes. The present work investigates the adsorption of Blue BF-5G reactive dye in raw and washed malt bagasse. For this, batch adsorption tests were performed in different granulometry using the two adsorbents, and then the adsorption kinetics were performed. The results showed that smaller granulometry favors the adsorption process for both adsorbents and that the raw malt bagasse presents better adsorption capacity compared to the washed bagasse. Considering the performance of the adsorbents used, according to the results of this study, the raw malt bagasse is a promising alternative for the removal of Blue BF-5G reactive dye from textile effluents.
