A solidão dionisíaca e seu valor profilático no conto “A sauna”, de Lygia Fagundes Telles

Abstract

This work aims to explore the theme of solitude in one of the short stories of the Brazilian writer Lygia Fagundes Telles. From the narrative "A sauna", our analysis will seek to show how the theme of solitude represented here closely approximates that of Friedrich Nietsche's philosophical intuition, according to which, instead of a dreaded and avoided situation, being alone can in fact be a choice, a condition for achieving a Dionysian view of the world. Considering the rich symbolic fabric constructed by Lygia Fagundes Telles, we will try to show how the prophylactic character of Nietzschean solitude can be traced in the text, a reality that we will relate to the Dionysian poetic lygiana, the foundation of our doctoral research.
