Resumo

In this paper I discuss the body-territory category, considering as elementary the inseparability of the diversity of indigenous women, their inherent specificities, and the territories they occupy, based on research that sought to analyze how this relationship defines and guides action. political- academic of indigenous women. The methodology included a bibliographical review of productions that address gender issues among indigenous peoples, indigenous political action, with emphasis on the work of the Tentehar Kuzà wà from the Ypaw my'ym village, located in the Araribóia Indigenous Land, in Maranhão, where the Guajajara/Awá-Guajá people live. With the strengthening of the autonomy of indigenous peoples based on the recognition promoted in the Federal Constitution of 1988, which represented the intensification of its exercise, we conquered new spaces that made it possible to retell the country's history from our perspectives, including experiences previously made invisible, excluded, to example of those experienced by indigenous women. In view of this, the work emphasizes the importance of understanding the collective action strategies of indigenous Tentehar kuzà wà women, among whom I include myself as a member of the Tentehar people, young, female and graduating in the Social Sciences - Public Policy course.
