Resumo
Thomas Hobbes is one of the founders of the modem conception of political power. The institution of the Sta te has in the British thinker one of its rational ramifications. The paper examines the jusnaturalist roots of the British political theorist and assumes that the Hobbesian legacy is not dialecticizeable.
