Resumo
The guiding theme of this investigation focuses on the relationships between artistic work and teaching in the university context, seeking to establish connections between teaching and learning processes and creative practices in Visual Arts. The motivation for this research arose from the need to better understand the relationships among art, artistic practice, and education. As a locus for the study, it was decided to listen to the artist-teachers working in the Bachelor's and Degree course in Visual Arts at the Faculty of Visual Arts of the Federal University of Goiás (FAV/UFG). Adriana Mendonça, Eliane Chaud, and Flávia Leme are both artists and teachers. It was considered essential to explore the roles of both the artist and the teacher, as integration occurs more effectively between the teaching process and the artistic process in a bachelor's degree course within the university. Working as a teacher in Basic Education, I realize that art and education challenge me, playing a significant role in my human development, encouraging creativity, expression, and deepening my aesthetic appreciation. Among the methodological contributions, bibliographical research was initially conducted. Using resources such as a questionnaire/script and interviews, I conducted a survey of the artistic works of each participant, cataloged bibliographic sources, video records, and photographs, and observed daily life in the teaching classroom at the institution. The search for an attentive and critical reading of the researched references, in dialogue with the narratives of the artist-teachers, is a crucial aspect of this study. I aim to better understand this theme and contribute with greater confidence to the quality of art teaching and my teaching-learning process
