Resumo

Throughout the 20th century, with the discovery of dinosaur fossils in the Bauru Group region, a significant number of paleontological studies contributed to the recognition of the fossil richness within this set of sedimentary rocks. This study aims to provide a synthesis of the stratigraphic and geographic distribution of titanosaurs, highlighting important occurrences reported in the southern region of Goiás and the Triângulo Mineiro. This research allowed the identification of notable taxa in these states within the Bauru Group, encompassing both formally described species and non-specific Titanosauria and Titanosauriformes. The analysis revealed a high diversity of fossils from this group of sauropods in Goiás and Minas Gerais, particularly associated with the Adamantina and Serra da Galga formations. The findings from this faunal composition analysis demonstrate that Titanosauria were significant herbivorous components in this central region of South America during the Cretaceous period.
