Item "Ver o outro nos próprios olhos": a revista Brasília e o projeto de lusitanização do Atlântico Sul (1942-1949)(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2014-02-27) Assunção, Marcello Felisberto Morais de; Serpa, Élio Cantalício; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7856851919811733; Serpa, Élio Cantalício; Sandes, Noé Freire; Quintela, Antón Corbacho; Pinto, João Alberto da CostaOur main objective in this dissertation is to investigate the lusitanization project of the South Atlantic region through the analysis of the Brasília magazine throughout the years that encompassed the “Spirit Policy” (1942-1949). This intention was put into practice through a double movement. Firstly, we analyze the conditions under which Brasília was created, so we can understand the relationship between this magazine and the intellectual and political fields in this period of time (chapter I). As a result, we also explore the discourses contained within Brasília as a space of visibility of the pan-lusitanist policy. We also investigate within its various sections (The life of the Brazilian Studies Institute, Critics, Articles, Documents, Chronicles, Notes, Anthologies) the relationship between these discourses and the values and myths concerning Salazarism. Secondly, we analyze these relations through productions which are mainly about the “Atlantic Policy” (chapter II). Thirdly, we investigate historiographic texts which implicitly discuss this matter (chapter III). The examination of these diverse discourses and the lusitanization project of the South Atlantic allow us to notice the intimate relationship between Brazilian and Portuguese academics in their defense of this corporative and authoritarian project, and, fundamentally, in the protection of the Portuguese colonialism in Africa.Item Revolução científica e nascimento da ciência experimental em Alexandre Koyré(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2013-08-30) Barbosa, Mohana Ribeiro; Salomon, Marlon Jeison; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0631789010231492This work aims to understand the definition given by Alexandre Koyré for the experimental science of the seventeenth century, exploring the importance of this concept within the historiography of science. Assuming that the opposition made by Koyré of Auguste Comte’s positivism, theoretical conception dominant in the history and philosophy of sciences in the first half of the twentieth century, engenders a new meaning for science and its course. In his work as a historian of science, developed primarily between 1930 and 1961, Koyré formulates precise concepts for various elements considered essential to the history and philosophy of sciences, such as: scientific revolution, experimentation, tools and instruments. I intend to demonstrate the intellectual trajectory and epistemological debates present in the formation of these concepts.Item A filosofia e a trajetória de Álvaro Vieira Pinto no Instituto Superior de Estudos Brasileiros (ISEB): 1956 - 1964(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2011-10-31) Campos, Diego de Moraes; Pinto, João Alberto da Costa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4246394797193440; Pinto, João Alberto da Costa; Cunha, Paulo Ribeiro; Maciel, DavidThis paper analyses the work of Brazilian philosopher Álvaro Vieira Pinto produced at the Higher Institute for Brazilian Studies (ISEB), consisting of a historiographic document representative of the political scenario spanning from 1956 to 1964. This paper highlights: a) Pinto’s political project as “Third World nationalism” i.e. his international political perspective which distinguishes him from other nationalists; b) his epistemological “historicism” as a trait that makes his work an important object of research for current historiographic debates and c) his political engagement as both interpreter and historical character of the social struggles that occurred prior to Brazil’s 1964 military coup, in which he took part as a democratic intellectual. As a historian analysing a philosopher’s body of work, I seek to present the historicity of his concepts, his institutional trajectory and the panorama in which he played a leading role through his philosophical intervention.Item Opinião pública e linguagem política no A Matutina Meiapontense (1830-1834)(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2013-08-23) Costa, Thalles Murilo Vaz; Silva, Luiz Sérgio Duarte da; http://buscatextual.cnpq.br/buscatextual/visualizacv.do?id=K4785963P2The A Matutina Meiapontense (1830 – 1834) was the first jornal of Goiás and represents the awakening of regional elites for the use of media as a tool for power struggle, public debate of ideas and legitimacy of group interests. Moreover, the printed document was the pioneer produced by the regional elites with density and regularity, fundamental to understand the meanings of the constitutional language political and the behavior of citizens who forwarded the written form for more than four consecutive years. View of this, the work argues that liberal political language of A Matutina Meiapontense has changed over the years of its circulation in accordance with the interests of the elite that led him, which organized and meant multiform Brazilian reality between the end of the First Reign and the early years of the Regency according to their interests. Shortly, the liberal and constitutionalist language of the journal was both expression and result of the struggle for power in the Province of Goiás.Item Mulheres na imprensa: representações femininas no Correio Oficial, Cidade de Goiás (1930-1936)(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2013-04-25) Diniz, Sávia Barros; Santos, Dulce Oliveira Amarante dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2317207486041256This work presents an historical research on the representations of women in the chroniques and articles from a Brazilian newspaper (City of Goiás), Correio de Goiás, in the period 1930-1936. Despite its name, this newspaper was a mixture of official documents, political and social news and opinions columns. This discourses had been generated in political and social transition context from the Belle Epoche, the crisis of the decade of 1920, the advent of the Revolution of 1930 and the Estado Novo of Getúlio Vargas. This context had been marked by social, political and economic changes but at same time by permanences in the Brazilian society. The newspaper texts had been written by doctors, religious men, teachers, civil servants and intellectuals and had been analysed through the historical category of gender relations. This research focuses on the representations of women, which had been built and spread through those newspaper discourses. Such representations in the press had sought to establish the boundaries of social roles of men and women in the City of Goiás. The vilaboenses women had to face and choose between tradition and transgression or in their private daily life (marriage, divorce, attitides, fashion, consumption etc.) or in their urban life (work, sociability, education, culture, citizenship and emancipation)Item A ciência na historiografia do Renascimento: de Jacob Burckhardt a Alexandre Koyré(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2013-08-19) Pereira, Renato Fagundes; Salomon, Marlon Jeison; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0631789010231492; Salomon, Marlon Jeison; Mollo, Helena Miranda; Almeida, Fábio Ferreira de; Marques, Rodrigo VieiraThe present study has the proposal to analyze the way in which the birth of modern science was articulated within Renaissance’s historiography, particularly the relationship between science, philosophical thought and the various forms of writing history of thought in the first half of twentieth century. The first part we analyze the debate between Burckhardt and Cassirer and theirs interpretive differences. In the second we analyze a set of fundamental interpretations: from scientific Renaissance to absence of science in the very Renaissance. By studying this historiographical route we intend to think over the peculiarity of Alexandre Koyré’s interpretation and historiography of thought.
