Item Dispositivo interacional em ativação(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2017-07-14) Campos, Paulo Alexandre Faria; Freitas, Luiz Antônio Signates; http://buscatextual.cnpq.br/buscatextual/visualizacv.do?id=K4794789A4; Freitas, Luiz Antônio Signates; Braga, José Luiz Warren; Felício, GoiaméricoThis work begins by acknowledging, anchored in a few authors, that the way society is mediatized is the result of a process born from mankind’s need of interaction, from it’s origin, which is the human condition, the constitution of “self”, and that, combined to the incessant wave of new technologies creates and continues to create many layers of communication networks. It also recognizes that said networks will built the visibility spaces constructed by society, and disputed by historic actors, that generates symbolic production. As a central objective, this work aims to investigate if there were changes to the production of meaning on the part of the electorate starting with the television propaganda during the 2016’s Mayor elections in Goiânia and if they could be better understood, as a communicational event, under the light of Braga’s (2011) interactional devices, and concludes by proposing an activation element in communicational processes attached to said devices. In depth interviews, in two groups before and after the HGPE programs, were used as a qualitative research tool investigating the candidates, Mayor and municipal management’s public image and the changes occurred in the process.Item Desinformação e fake news como modos de negação comunicacional da cidadania: um estudo do perfil @jairbolsonaro(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2022-11-30) Gonzaga Junior, Carlos Antônio; Freitas, Luiz Antônio Signates; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0464596762919932; Freitas, Luiz Antônio Signates; Ferreira, Jairo Getúlio; Borges, Rosana Maria RibeiroThe objective of this work is to analyze the communication strategy used by Bolsonaro on Twitter between 2020 and 2022 - characterized by a covid-19 pandemic - to try to answer the following question: which elements posted by Bolsonaro on his Twitter profile date back to the communicational denial of the citizenship? In front of that, in the first chapter, the theoretical foundation is supported by the discussion about citizenship. In the second chapter, the debate moves towards the idea of globalization, and the technological virtues for the expansion of communication, the conflict between local and global and disinformation and fake news. In the third chapter, it is proposed to answer the question of this work. For this, tweets from this period (2020-2022) were extracted by data scraping technique. With a systematic qualitative analysis, the results show that the then president of the republic encourages - through his speeches - the denial of citizenship, that is, to deny practices that are configured in rights for the citizen.Item Cidadania, entre a regra e a ruptura: o fluido movimento do vídeo popular no Residencial Real Conquista em Goiânia(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2011-10-31) Melo, Carolina Abbadia; Freitas, Luiz Antônio Signates; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0464596762919932; Freitas, Luiz Antonio Signates; Bezerra, Heloisa Dias; Souza, Mauro Wilton deThis study problematizes the notion of citizenship from the standpoint of media-centered political activism. This social practice was responsible for setting up a popular video workshop in Residencial Real Conquista, a neighbourhood in the suburbs of Goiânia which derives from the formerly occupied area in Parque Oeste Industrial, known as “Sonho Real” (“Real Dream”) by local homeless people. In view of this social reality, the debate regarding citizenship turns to the symbolic constructions of contemporary oppositional culture in relation to popular culture and to the movement of popular video itself. This debate becomes focused on individuals devoid of political party, face, voice and home, who fight for space in the city and for visibility in communication. Hegemonic notions of citizenhip and disputes over its meaning have provided contents for an analysis of invisible social spaces that overcome the traditional concept of citizenship. The mixed result of the interaction between oppositional culture, popular culture and mass culture was investigated to reveal the limits of the concept involved, in an attempt to think about society based on the new contours of public space projected by media communication.Item Comunicação em sociedades cercadas: a formação de microesferas públicas críticas a partir das mediações comunicativas em Angola(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2017-07-12) Muchingeca, Abdul Pedro Manuel; Freitas, Luiz Antônio Signates; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0464596762919932; Freitas, Luiz Antônio Signates; Silva, Magno Luiz Medeiros da; Maia, Juarez Ferraz deThe present theoretical-reflexive and empirical effort fits within the context of media reception studies and aims to understand the Angolan political-mediatic setting from the perspective of the subject-recipient supported by the Habermasian concept of the public sphere. This dissertation sought to move away from a view of a presumptive receiver, conjecturing possible interpretations for the media products, listening to the real receivers and knowing the true appropriation / positioning. The central hypothesis is that the Angolan families have a real and critical diagnosis of the surrounding situation from Telejornal (main news service of the country) but can not reach a libertarian conclusion. For the theoretical-methodological support, we have contributions from Jurgen Habermas, Stuart Hall, Raymond Williams, Boaventura de Sousa Santos, Laurence Bardin, Ricardo Soares de Oliveira, Jesus Martin-Barbero and Nilda Jacks. The research method used is the Family Mediation Technic that involves ethnography, television reception and in-depth Interview. The main result is that there is a production of sense capable of forming critical public spheres, but this does not happen due to the existence of fences - to a party-state and to the Cultural (patriarchal) fence. It is an empirical research that was carried out in the city of Luanda - capital of the Republic of Angola.Item Internet, esfera pública e comunicação: dois estudos de caso(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2012-08-09) Rabelo, Leon Eugênio Monteiro; Freitas, Luiz Antônio Signates; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0464596762919932; Freitas, Luiz Antônio Signates; Braga, José Luiz; Felício, GoiaméricoThe new communication and information technologies, especially in their various applications in network environments, as is the case of the Internet, are increasingly present in contemporary society and politics. In an accelerated pace, they meddle in traditional social settings, causing plenty of reactions among their established actors, leading to developments that, in the context of communication studies, raise new questions and perspectives to be investigated. Within this universe, this study picked out two cases to be more closely detailed: the website Wikileaks, and the Blog do Luis Nassif. The two cases were analyzed as phenomena that alter some of the interactional logic of the environment in which they appear, and in which they begin to establish relations of interaction, conflict and displacement. The two cases, that at first have no specific relationship between them, were addressed in an around some conceptual elements of classical social theory, particularly the critical traditions of the Public Sphere. As for their communicational aspects, they’ve been investigated according to the concept of interactional device, as it appears in contemporary communication studies.
