Resumo
This research is centered on the intersection of journalism , violence and female citizenship to
understand the coexistence of achievements and prejudgement in the universe of goianiense woman ,
pictured by local journalistic media. For this, this study tried to understand how women involved in
situations of violence, as victims or aggressors are shown on the TV news, usually considered a mirror
of society. Justifies the importance of this study because prior to the appearance of the vehicles of
mass communication, the individual built its knowledge and, consequently, yours opinion, through the
experiences lived, in a real way, in institutions such as family, church or school. The capitalist routine
imposed on men and women of different ages and socioeconomic classes a routine punctuated of
appointments, which significantly decreased interpersonal contact. At the same time, the media, driven
by technology, became omnipresent, imposing concepts and prejudgements.
