Resumo
The present work focuses on the analysis of the struggle between farmers and landowners for
the possession of land in the North of Góias, in the period in which the Governments of
Dictatorship Militar were in power and implemented the project of Amazonian occupation by
national and international capital. We will analyze migratory processes that resulted in the
occupation of the area in the Amazon in times different times including the fronts of
immigrants come mainly from the northeast in search of work in the first decades oh the 20th
century, which lasted until the advent of Belém Brasília in the late 1960, until the seizure of
power by autocratic governments, when she gave her begin the process of capitalist
occupation of the Amazon. The incetives created by autocratic governments to attract
investment capitalists to the region included financial subsidies to agricultural projects and
legal guarantees for expropriarem the squatters already installed on the land, and
superexplorarem the work force used in the implementation of projects, resulting in the
expulsion of the families of squatters in the areas required, causing serious situations of
violence and instability to the peasant families living in the area sought by the owners of the
farmer to the area be totally expropriated resulting in the agrarian reform settlement.
