Resumo
This research aims to study the impacts, transformations, and influences on the aesthetic choices of artists who have political and civic engagement. Discussing the concepts of art, politics, and artivism in dialogue with cultural performances, I
analyze the trajectory of the Goiânia-based musical group Vida Seca and its relationship with the ¿por quá? dance group, analyzing their artistic encounters that possess form and content that I consider political. To this end, I focused on
two works that the groups developed together: the performance held on September 13, 2007, and later transformed into the short film Rua 57, Nº 60, Centro, and the urban intervention Por Acaso, tardes de improviso. The methodology of the work consists of analyzing the groups' actions based on the concept of artivism discussed in the works of Isaque Ribeiro and Alexandre Vilas Boas, making theoretical and practical approaches that can reveal how the aesthetic construction of the groups is shaped by their political actions. The conclusion is that both constructed what I called a politics of encounter, an art focused on community gatherings, prioritizing the creation, multiplication, and occupation of public spaces. Furthermore, the theoretical discussion fostered an artistic production of songs and poems that are presented in the final considerations and appendix.
