Entre a ficcção e a relidade: a autoficção em uma abordagem poético-filosófica quadrinhizada

Abstract

This work presents an investigation on autofiction, a genre originally linked to literature, within the context of comic books and poetic-philosophical comics, thus seeking intersections between the two comic genres. Autofiction is characterized as a narrative in which the author inserts themselves as a character, blending fiction and reality, while poetic-philosophical comics are distinguished by their authorial and experimental nature, as well as their poetic quality and philosophical questioning. To this end, the work was conceived and developed entirely in comic book format, in order to explore and present the language of comics as a legitimate form of academic production. Thus, the innovative nature of the proposal also stands out in relation to the formal aspect of the investigation, since, up to the moment this research was carried out and within the scope of the bibliographic review conducted, no master’s dissertations in the field of visual arts in Brazil were found to have been fully developed using the language of comics. Furthermore, this investigation seeks to contribute to the existing studies on the topics addressed, especially given the scarcity of works dedicated to the analysis of autofiction in the context of comics and, in particular, from the perspective of poetic-philosophical comics. Therefore, the research is both theoretical and practical, integrating theoretical discussions and foundations with the practical exercise of producing a comic that intertwines the concepts addressed with the visual elements and unique characteristics of the comic language. In this way, comics are highlighted as a legitimate language to be used as the structure of an academic dissertation.
