dc.description.abstractThe few research elaborated about the industry of Goiás usually relate it to the national industry. The vision of an industry complementary to that space can hide its own dynamics and importance in the Goiás state productive structure. The thesis defended in the present research is that the industry of Goiás cannot be observed only from the point of view of the Brazilian industry, it has the own trajectory and, therefore, needs to be understood and to divided in periods. In this way, this work had as objective the construction of the periodization of the industry of Goiás. From the events that influenced the sector, through the statistical data and historical documents, four distinct periods were identified. The first one, from 1912 to 1935, shows the born of Goiás industry and its location along the Goiás Railroad (EFG), especially in the municipalities of Catalão and Ipameri. The second, from 1935 to 1960, is highlighted by the arrival of the EFG in Anápolis, the change of the capital of the state of Goiás to Goiânia, the implantation of the National Agricultural Colony of Goiás (Cang) and the process of construction of Brasília. The productive profile and the location of the industry change significantly, because of the demands caused by the urbanization of the state. There is spatial concentration in the municipalities of Anápolis and Goiânia, with leadership of the first. The third period of the Goiás industry, from 1960 to 1985, is characterized by governmental support to the sector, by the modernization of agriculture and cattle raising, which initiates the process of productive integration and by the expansion of urbanization. The industry increased its participation in the state productive structure, diversified its productive profile and concentrated space in Goiânia, which is to lead, and Anápolis. The fourth and final period, 1985 to the present day, is highlighted by the unfolding of the process of integration of agriculture and industry with the establishment of fiscal and financial incentives in a coordinated way. The industry intensifies its participation in the income generation of the state, diversifies and integrates to the local base (agriculture and mining) and is inserted in the national productive structure. Spatially, there is a new configuration, with the leadership of Anápolis and Goiânia as well as emerging new industrial poles such as Rio Verde, Catalão, Itumbiara and Jataíeng

dc.description.resumoAs poucas pesquisas e estudos elaborados sobre a indústria goiana costumam relaciona-la com a indústria nacional, o que pode esconder a dinâmica própria e sua importância na estrutura produtiva estadual. A tese defendida no presente trabalho é que a indústria goiana não pode ser observada somente do ponto de vista da indústria brasileira, ela tem sua própria trajetória e, portanto, necessita ser compreendida e periodizada. Desta forma, este trabalho teve como objetivo a construção da periodização da indústria goiana. Foram identificados, a partir dos eventos ocorridos que influenciaram o setor, através dos dados estatísticos e documentos históricos, quatro períodos distintos. O primeiro, de 1910 até 1935, mostra a gênese da indústria goiana e sua localização ao longo da Estrada de Ferro Goiás (EFG), sobretudo nos municípios Catalão e Ipameri. O segundo, de 1935 a 1960, é marcado pela chegada da EFG em Anápolis, a mudança da capital do estado de Goiás para Goiânia, a implantação da Colônia Agrícola Nacional de Goiás (Cang) e o processo de construção de Brasília. O perfil produtivo e a localização da indústria mudam significativamente, devido às demandas provocadas pela urbanização do estado. Há concentração espacial nos municípios de Anápolis e Goiânia, com liderança do primeiro. O terceiro período da indústria goiana, de 1960 a 1985, é caracterizado pelo apoio governamental ao setor, pela modernização da agropecuária, que dá início ao processo de integração produtiva, e pela expansão da urbanização. A indústria elevou sua participação na estrutura produtiva estadual, diversificou seu perfil produtivo e concentrou espacial em Goiânia, que passa a liderar, e Anápolis. O quarto e último período, 1985 aos dias atuais, é marcado pelo desdobramento do processo de integração da agropecuária com a indústria, e a instituição dos incentivos fiscais e financeiros, de forma coordenada. A indústria intensifica sua participação na geração da renda do estado, diversifica-se e se integra à base local (agropecuária e mineração) e se insere nas cadeias produtivas nacionais. Espacialmente, há uma nova configuração, com a liderança de Anápolis e Goiânia além de emergirem novos polos industriais como Rio Verde, Catalão, Itumbiara e Jataí.por
