dc.description.abstractThis thesis is the result of a research on Roniwalter Jatobá and the remembrance of working- class life. It consists of a study on memory, the working-class condition, and the universalization of issues related to labor. The research problem used as the starting point for our investigation was “how does Jatobá remember working-class life in the outskirts of São Paulo?”. This problem was explored through the relationships between Roniwalter Jatobá’s chronicles and theoretical analyses of working-class life, alienated labor, and proletarian everyday life. In this sense, the central objective of this work was to identify how Roniwalter Jatobá remembers working-class life in the outskirts of the city of São Paulo. Our specific objectives were to understand the process of remembrance and its identification in other works. With this theme, we aimed to conduct an analysis of migrant workers in the 1970s and how they related to the city amidst its expansion and emerging job opportunities. This also included the living conditions and remembrance of these events by the workers. All these elements were based on theoretical production on the subject, the reading of the work, and the historical perception of that moment. Regarding the theoretical foundation, the thesis relied on Marxist concepts from a critical perspective, drawing from the views of Nildo Viana, Terry Eagleton, Marx, Cardoso, among others. The methodological basis consisted of reading Roniwalter Jatobá’s work and the bibliographical research used to understand it, as well as the use of other works that directed an answer to the problem. Finally, the dissertation’s main result was the realization of the impact of Jatobá in inaugurating proletarian literature. It also highlighted the author's importance in analyzing and understanding the working class of the 1970s.eng

dc.description.resumoA presente dissertação é fruto de uma pesquisa sobre Roniwalter Jatobá e a rememoração da vida operária. Ela consiste em um estudo sobre a memória, a condição operária e a universalização das questões acerca do trabalhador. O problema de pesquisa utilizado como ponto de partida da nossa investigação foi o seguinte: como Jatobá rememora a vida operária na periferia de São Paulo? Tal problema foi explorado a partir das relações entre as crônicas de Roniwalter Jatobá e as análises teóricas da vida operária, do trabalho alienado, e da cotidianidade proletária. Nesse sentido, o objetivo central deste trabalho foi identificar como Roniwalter Jatobá rememora a vida operária na periferia da cidade de São Paulo. Por sua vez, nossos objetivos específicos consistiram em compreender o processo de rememoração e a sua identificação em outras obras. Pretendeu-se, com este tema, conduzir uma análise sobre os trabalhadores migrantes na década de 70 e como estes se relacionavam com a cidade em meio à expansão e às oportunidades de trabalho existentes. Além das condições de vida e a rememoração destes eventos por parte dos trabalhadores. Todos esses elementos foram pautados a partir da produção teórica acerca do tema, da leitura da obra e da percepção histórica daquele determinado momento. Em relação à fundamentação teórica, a dissertação partiu de conceitos marxistas, em uma perspectiva crítica, advindos das visões de Nildo Viana, Terry Eagleton, Marx, Cardoso, dentre outros. Já a base metodológica consistiu na leitura da obra de Roniwalter Jatobá e no levantamento bibliográfico utilizado para compreendê-la. Além da utilização de outras obras que direcionassem uma resposta frente ao problema. Por fim, a dissertação obteve como principal resultado a constatação do impacto de Jatobá na inauguração de uma literatura proletária. Além da importância do autor para analisar e compreender a classe operária da década de 1970.
