Resumo
This dissertation is linked to Fundamentals of Educational Processes of the PPGE / UFG research
line. Its objective was to investigate how literature is treated within the scope of the Pact for
Literacy in the Right Age (PNAIC). This is a bibliographic and documental research. For this
research was considered the official documents and the academic research developed from this
Program. The theoretical reference to study was Candido (Ianni, 1999), Barthes (1988), Llosa
(2004), Zilberman (1985), Lajolo and Zilberman (2007), Bugarelli (2011), Soares 2003), among
others. This study verified that the academic researches that has investigated the PNAIC agree that
this Program had great relevance for the teaching in the literacy cycle. The academical research
analyzed, about literature, was unison in recognize that literature present in this program was
relevant to literacy learn. This researchs agree that divulges and values the literary collections
distributed by MEC to public school system. This program contributes of teachers to learn and
appropriate about this material. However, the present dissertation found that such contributions
become insipient, because this Program value the literary work and not literature as a right for
human formation.
