Abstract

The central theme of the dissertation examines the role of the Judiciary in Goiás within the framework of public policy development for addressing psychological violence against women, emphasizing actions already adopted by both Public Administration and the State Judiciary in the Midwest region, particularly in the state of Goiás. The primary objective of this study is to analyze how the judiciary is working to implement social protection actions for victims of domestic abuse. Additionally, it seeks to explore the mechanisms and strategies being adopted, creating a collaborative network among various institutions. The research problem questions the effectiveness of the judicial system in establishing activities, specifically aiming to address the challenges and difficulties related to implementing and maintaining policies focused on psychological violence. This study is justified by the importance of investigating the Judiciary's role in a context of increasing violence, where policies require continuous improvement to secure rights and provide safety and justice for Brazilian women. The qualitative research involved a literature and document review, utilizing extensive literature, including international authors, laws and regulations, as well as statistical data provided by the National Council of Justice and state courts analyzed in this study. The study concluded that, despite the progress achieved, significant challenges remain, particularly regarding the lack of a public policy specifically focused on the context of psychological abuse. Thus, a technological work plan was proposed as a way of encouraging new actions and future installations.
