Inter-relações entre das Ding e a temporalidade na teoria psicanalítica

Abstract

While the psychoanalytic movement has, from the outset, aimed to investigate the unconscious, the barrier of the unrepresentable exposes the impossibility of traversing this terrain. To unravel the question guiding this dissertation: "How does the thing relate to the concept of unconscious temporality?", a bibliographical survey is conducted that reviews the works of Freud and Lacan, treating Lacan's theoretical movement as complementary to Freudian theory, with regard to the two topics analyzed. First, the different conceptions of the thing and its relationship to perceived and represented reality are mapped. Next, the authors' understandings of an unconscious temporality that modifies the past as it reveals it are articulated. Finally, the article seeks to understand the Freudian notion of the thing from the perspective of the unconscious temporality that revolves around the real as an element that eludes symbolization. It becomes possible to propose, based on this production, the existence of a relationship between unconscious temporality and the thing, as an unrepresentable element, treating the first as a way of revealing the functioning of the second.
