dc.description.abstractThe process of patrimonialization of the historic center of the City of Goiás began at the national level in the second half of the 20th century and was consolidated with the global downturn in 2001. The colonial configuration of the Vilaboense group, a priori stigmatized, has established itself as a cultural image of local society and the main element to be preserved, amid all manner of preservationist policies. The interventions that took place over time in the topple perimeter contributed to the imaginary aggrandizement of the city as a 17th century scenario. From this observation, we sought to understand how the institutional performance, or not, of heritage and its preservationist trajectory contributed to consolidate such images of the City of Goiás. It is based on the actions carried out from the 1970s to the present day, peering at the solidification of the image of the he patrimonialized city, through the urbanization of the urban section of the historic center, with the encouragement of copies, mimicry and removal of contradictions to the originality set. To do this, the acts of Iphan, city Hall, Monumenta Program and Aceleração do Crescimento – Cidades Históricas Program were considered. This plurality of actions reflects an arduous survey within the scope of these institutions and their preservationist instruments, resulting in the recognition of process that has not yet ended. Among the latest interventions are Restoration of the Municipal Market, of the Cine Teather São Joaquim, of the City Hall, the Requalification of Headquarters of the diocese of Goiás – installation of the Diocese archive, that fulfill the role of updating the language of preservation in the face of contemporary life. As a repercussion of the patrimonialized urban image in front the society, the circumstances arising from the establishment of tourist practices in the historical section are investigated.eng

dc.description.resumoO processo de patrimonialização do centro histórico da Cidade de Goiás inicia-se na esfera nacional na segunda metade do século XX e sedimenta-se com o tombamento mundial em 2001. A configuração colonial do conjunto vilaboense, estigmatizada a priori, firmou-se como imagem cultural da sociedade local e principal elemento a ser preservado, em meio a toda sorte de políticas preservacionistas. As intervenções ocorridas ao longo do tempo no perímetro tombado contribuíram com o enaltecimento imagético da cidade como cenário setecentista. Diante dessa constatação, buscou-se compreender como a atuação institucional, ou não, do patrimônio e seu percurso preservacionista contribuíram para consolidar tais imagens da Cidade de Goiás. Parte-se das ações executadas a partir dos anos 1970 até os dias atuais, perscrutando a solidificação da imagem da cidade patrimonializada, por meio da cenarização do trecho urbano do centro histórico, com o incentivo às cópias, mimetismos e retiradas das contradições à originalidade do conjunto. Para tal, consideram-se os atos do Iphan, Prefeitura Municipal, Programa Monumenta e Programa de Aceleração do Crescimento – Cidades Históricas. Essa pluralidade de ações reflete um árduo levantamento no âmbito das referidas instituições e seus instrumentos preservacionistas, resultando no reconhecimento de um processo que ainda não se encerrou. Entre as últimas intervenções estão a Restauração do Mercado Municipal, do Cine Teatro São Joaquim, do Casarão da Prefeitura Municipal, a Requalificação da Sede da Diocese de Goiás – instalação do Arquivo Diocesano, que cumprem o papel de atualizar a linguagem da preservação diante da vida contemporânea. Como repercussão da imagem urbana patrimonializada diante da sociedade, averígua-se as circunstâncias decorrentes da instauração das práticas turísticas no trecho histórico.pt_BR
