Resumo
Conventional rehabilitation presents high costs and geographic limits, while telerehabilitation with immersive exergames expands patient access and participation. Due to the absence of physical mediation, virtual presence becomes the central variable for treatment continuity. This study aims to develop and validate an integrated model to evaluate virtual presence in telerehabilitation with exergames. The methodology encompasses a systematic literature review and theoretical procedures of psychometrics. The construct was operationalized into six dimensions (spatial, social, personal, environmental, involvement, and agency), structured through the integration of subjective, behavioral, physiological, and technological indicators. The operational feasibility of the proposal was
demonstrated through modeling in a use scenario. The validation stage resulted in the refinement of 21 items and the identification of metrics based on semantic analysis with the public and technical evaluation by a committee of experts. It is concluded that the multidimensional architecture operates as a diagnostic support instrument, as it allows for isolating technological failures from the patient’s physical limitations, enabling safe application and personalization of therapeutic protocols in immersive environments.
