Resumo
The thesis aims to analyze the splits and reconfigurations between the Xikrin
of Kateté, for this I considered wars and native policies. The hypothesis is that
the fissions that occurred within the Mebêngokrê-Xikrin ethnic group are the
result of political actions and also wars. Furthermore, I also reflect the
separations that occurred between the Xikrin themselves and the formations
of the two villages, from the village of Kateté, Djudjêkô and Ô’ôdjá, which is
the main objective of the work. The topic is relevant for indigenous
anthropology and especially for indigenous people, as there is a gap related to
the theme. Indigenous historiography still has numerous open questions, its
studies are still in the early stages, which is why anthropologists are
responsible for the main work related to the topic. I worked with
“ethnography” as a methodology, as it is the best suited to obtain the results
necessary for the analysis of my object. It is through observations, interviews,
field diary notes and the analysis of written and oral sources, and also the
evaluation of the formation of Xikrin memory that I arrived at the results
presented here. Regarding theoretical questions, authors from the field of
indigenous ethnology are used, mainly those who reflected on the Amazon.
