The production of vegetables has socio-economic importance in several Brazilian rural communities, especially those formed by small and medium-sized properties. For there to be success in horticultural production, several factors must be observed, including the use of high quality seedlings. The technologies involved in the formation of seedlings, there is potential for the use of substances called growth-promoting, as biostimulants. The objective was to evaluate the production of cucumber, lettuce and tomato seedlings treated via seed with a biostimulant substance. Three tests were conducted simultaneously, one with each species. Seeds were soaked in four biostimulant concentrations (0 mL L-1, 4ml L-1, 8 ml L-1 and 12 ml L-1) for thirty minutes. Then they were sown in trays of 128 cells containing commercial peat substrate. Evaluations were performed daily for the establishment of the emergency rate, average time of emergency and the emergency speed index. At 20 days after sowing (DAS) to cucumber seedlings, and 25 DAS, to lettuce and tomato, were held biometric assessments of plant height, number, length and width of leaves and masses of aerial part and roots dry matter. Concentrations of up to 7.10 ml L-1 and 4.92 ml ml L-1 exceeding 3.33 ml ml L-1 can be used to obtain more vigorous seedlings of cucumber, tomato and lettuce, respectively.
