A repressão a imigrantes e descendentes de italianos durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial nos textos de um blog da fronteira

Abstract

The article analyzes three posts from the blog Crônicas & fatos: história do Oeste paranaense (COLODEL, 2024), created and maintained by regional public historian José Augusto Colodel between 2010 and 2016. The posts deal with the work of a colonization company that oper-ated in the region bordering Brazil with Para-guay and Argentina. Called Espéria, the compa-ny's target audience for land sales was Italian immigrants located in the state of São Paulo. In addition, the texts deal with Italian immigra-tion to the border during the first half of the 20th century and the repression suffered by immigrants and descendants of Italians during the Second World War. Given that these issues have already been addressed by the author in a previous work (COLODEL, 1988), the main aim of this article is to understand the role of the blog in disseminating this historical knowledge.
