Resumo
Comic books aren't just entertainment medias, but are also teaching instruments that facilitates textual understanding and encourages the habit of reading. Based on this, the present work proposes the studying of how comics can be an accessibility tool for children with dyslexia, promoting their inclusion in reading. For that, it is necessary to investigate the difficulties faced by dyslexic people, as well as the language present in comic books, and how they function as a product of social design. The purpose is to create a graphic design project that involves the adaptation of the children's book História meio ao contrário, from the author Ana Maria Machado, to the comic book format, following visual guidelines that offer reading support for dyslexic children. The adopted methodology is in accordance with a comic book design project, involving research, ideation, creation and prototyping phases, which are relevant to this study's development.
