O sinistro e a feminilidade: um jogo de dualidades

Abstract

The present research, of a theoretical and practical nature, analyzes my artistic production and involves the creation of “visual games,” which can be understood as poetic operations in which the image shifts meanings. Furthermore, the research addresses themes such as the bed, body fragments, and the duality between concealment and revelation. The creative process is influenced by daydreams and notes in the artist’s sketchbook, allowing room for improvisation during execution. The analysis of the production was conducted in dialogue with a variety of artistic references — including works by other artists, films, and theoretical texts — in order to identify and contextualize the duality between the uncanny and femininity.
