Resumo
This article deals with changes in the dynamics of democratic regimes due
to the emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Democratic theory has advanced in
the epistemology of politics considering the advances of individual and collective intelligence, understanding how actors and social movements tension and produce forms
of coexistence within democracies. The emergence of Artificial Intelligence means a
complexification of democratic dynamics since it grounds an epistemology of politics
based on its mutuality with individual and collective intelligence. The coexistence of
these three forms of intelligence provides new challenges for democratic theory in the
context of the interaction between humans and machines. We conclude by observing
how democratic solutions have been created to face the social dilemmas that emerge
with Artificial Intelligence.
