Resumo

This essay aims to reflect on the practice of writing and creating Nature Diaries in the discipline “Children and nature: living and learning in outdoor spaces”, part of the Specialization course in “Pedagogical Practices in Basic Education”, at the Federal University of Goiás, Goiás Campus, as a movement that enables the technical, aesthetic, ethical, political and environmental training of teachers. We used qualitative research, through a case study. To this end, we carried out a descriptive content analysis that allowed us to understand how teachers relate to nature. The corpus of analysis comprised 30 Nature Diaries, produced in 2024, among those experienced in theoretical-practical discussions, creative workshops and everyday experiences. The Nature Diaries constituted powerful records of the personal and formative trajectory of the teachers, allowing them to write, draw, paste, photograph and capture nature using different languages in a movement of creation and interaction with the environment.
