Resumo
The film Midnight in Paris (2011) offers a unique opportunity for history teachers and researchers to reflect on their craft. The article analyzes the work, under the tools Didactics of History, in order to point out some of the common actions employed in practical life to represent the past in what way it is “deformed” by them. At the end of the analysis many fundamental questions about classroom and out-of-class practices, as well as the possibilities of the use of films in research, may be taken up in a thought-provoking way.
