Desenvolvimento de uma ferramenta de Business Intelligence para apresentação de resultados financeiros empresariais

Abstract

Modern financial management faces significant challenges due to the complexity and need for precise analysis of accounting data, often hindered by a lack of data integration and graphical representations. Effective interpretation of this data is crucial for financial decisions, allowing companies to understand their economic situation and identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Business Intelligence (BI) addresses this issue by transforming organizational data into strategic information, facilitating decision-making,and creating actionable insights.This study proposesa methodology through experimental research, which implements the selection of financial indicators, extraction and preparation of synthetic data, layout and design development, and implementation and testing for developing a BI solution using accounting data. Interactive dashboards are central to this solution, enabling clear visualization of key financial indicators and allowing users to explore different scenarios and periods. Integrating BI into financial management provides a more informed and effective approach, enhancing organizational success by turning raw data into valuable, actionable information. The main result of this work is the proposal of a new BI methodology forfinancial managers that allows a segmented and flexible analysis of financial data, enabling them to monitor critical financial indicators and select analysis periods in an agile and easy way. Results are displayed using manipulated data from a medium-sized ice cream company.
