Item Aplicação do mapeamento de fluxo de valor para redução dos desperdícios da produção: estudo de caso de uma fábrica de artefatos de solo-cimento(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2022-05-24) Amaral, Tatiana Gondim do; Araújo, Flávio de CarvalhoThis paper aimed to reduce of wastes in the production process of a soil cement artifacts company using lean production tool, the Value Stream Mapping which contributed to detect problems with using too much time for some steps production one of the materials produced, the ecological brick. At a joint analysis with the survey of the layout of the factory floor, the Current Status Map has been prepared, which highlights the times and shows the conflicts that generate waste, that way, the development of the Future State Map was possible, which proposes a new perspective of reducing times by readjusting the positioning of supplies and some equipmentItem Caracterização física do resíduo de uma estação de tratamento de água para sua utilização em materiais de construção(2015-12) Araújo, Flávio de Carvalho; Scalize, Paulo Sérgio; Albuquerque, Antonio João CarvalhoIn the Water Treatment Plants (WTPs), the production of treated water generates residues, which are usually called water treatment residues (WTR). Most of these WTPs discharge waste into watercourses, despite the national solid waste policy assigning responsibility for adopting sustainable ways to disposal the wastes to the generating source, because its launch “in natura” in water bodies is harmful. The aim of this work was to determine the physical characteristics of the waste generated in a Water Treatment Plant according to normative parameters in order to consider sustainable alternatives for its reuse in the production of building materials and, therefore, reducing the potential environmental impacts on water streams. Thus, the following tests were performed on the residue: consistency index, granulometry, scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectroscopy. The results show the potential application of the residue for partially replacing soil and/or sand in the production of construction and building materials.
