Item Application of polymeric nanoparticles for controlled release of ethanolic extract of guapeva leaves (Pouteria gardneriana Radlk) against Riphicephalus (Boophilus) microplus through in vitro studies(2016-12) Barbosa, Priscila Fernanda Pereira; Mendonça, Pablo Peres de; Andrade, Rômulo Davi Albuquerque; Aguiar, Ana Carolina Ribeiro; Chaves, Andréa Rodrigues; Costa, Adilson Ben da; Silva, Fabiano GuimarãesThe study was designed to evaluate the ethanolic extract acaricide action from Pouteria gardneriana Radlk specie adsorbed in chitosan nanoparticles for controlled release against Riphicephalus (Boophilus) microplus. Leaves of P. gardneriana Radlk were collected, air-dried, ground and extracted with ethanol. Chitosan nanospheres were obtained by the phase inversion method. Conductometric titration, UV-Vis and FTIR analysis were conducted with the materials to evaluate the chitosan anchoring ability. In vitro test was performed using engorged females for each treatment, which consisted of the control, raw extract and three treatments diluted, with increasing concentrations of 0.2, 0.4 and 1%. The most effectiveness extract was for 0.4% concentration by observing reduction in the eggs mass compared to control group. The nanomaterial proved to be able to anchor and release the insecticide gradually in pH between 5 and 6 regions, which makes it feasible for use in cattle, prolonging the exposure time between the tick and acaricide.Item Atividade alelopática de caju-de-árvore-do-cerrado sobre a germinação e crescimento de alface e rabanete(2021) Arcanjo, Waleska; Silva, Lilian dos Santos; Bitencourt, Raphaela Gabrí; Aguiar, Ana Carolina Ribeiro; Ramos, Luciana Machado; Chaves, Andréa Rodrigues; Andrade, Rômulo Davi AlbuquerqueAllelopathic activity study has been used to combat and control diseases, insects and weeds. This work aimed to evaluate the allelopathic effect of extracts from caju-de-árvore-do-cerrado (Anacardium othonianum) leaves on germination and initial growth of lettuce (Lactuca sativaL.) and radish (Raphanus sativusL.) seedlings. Initially, aqueous extracts from in natura leaves were obtained by two methods of aqueous extraction: infusion and decoction. The lettuce and radish germination and growth bioassays were carried out in triplicate, with treatments consisting of six different dilutions of the extracts, analyzing the germination percentage, root length and seedlings aerial-part length after 7 days of incubation, under artificial temperature and light conditions. The allelopathic potential was verified in both extracts of caju-de-árvore-do-cerrado leaves, due to the sensitivity observed in the lettuce and radish seeds. In addition, it was observed that the effects of allelochemicals are dependent on the dosage, since variations in allelopathic effects (inhibitory and/ orstimulating) were observed when changing the concentration of the extracts applied.Item Degradação fotocatalítica de atrazina na presença de catalisadores nanoparticulados(2017) Campos, Flávio Arantes; Aguiar, Ana Carolina Ribeiro; Medeiros, Victor Souza; Branquinho, Adriene de Cássia; Silva, Franco Cesar Belchior da; Andrade, Rômulo Davi Albuquerque; Chaves, Andréa RodriguesItem Efficacy of chitosan supported organic acaricide extract from Melia azedarach leaves on Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) microplus ticks(2016-07-29) Barbosa, Priscila Fernanda Pereira; Mendonça, Pablo Peres de; Andrade, Rômulo Davi Albuquerque; Aguiar, Ana Carolina Ribeiro; Silva, Fabiano Guimarães; Chaves, Andréa Rodrigues
