    The Importance of Information Technology (IT) to support the business processes brings new possibilities to business. Due to technological advances, many institutions are suffering from information overload, making it essential to implementation of information management to manage this information chaos. Often the information is stored in computer equipment in a non-integrated, hindering their access and, consequently, the performance of activities necessary to the full functioning of the institution. In this sense, this study aims to analyze which aspects of developing and implementing a corporate portal will improve the information flow from an average company in the interior of Minas Gerais. Also, make the execution of each step in the implementation and performance analysis of this tool. Methodology was held as a descriptive research through a case study. The survey results indicated a greater integration of corporate information, as well as an improved flow of company information and greater agility in meeting the Department of Information Technology.

    A influência da controladoria no processo de abertura de capital: um estudo de caso em uma instituição de ensino superior

    The comptroller and administrative area assists in the management process through information support for decision-making, aims to ensure the effectiveness of the company through the control of operations and its planned results. This article aims to assess the effect of controlling the area, as a provider of informational support to business management in the process of opening the capital of a private higher education institution "Anhanguera Educacional S / A". The methodology used was an exploratory, followed by a single case study and focus on holistic an analysis unit as a whole. For data collection procedures were employed non-standardized interview focused, as well as analysis of documents that related to the problem, the topic and related matters. The results obtained from research showed that the comptroller contributes to the process of going public by gathering, validating and disseminating information to support decision making by the leaders of the company, internally and externally to promote transparency of the company.

    Significado do dinheiro: uma análise comparativa entre indivíduos adimplentes e inadimplentes

    This work was intended to conduct a study to investigate the meaning of the value of money to individuals in default and in default of the city of Uberlândia-MG, with reference to the database Serasa Experian, based on the scale of the Meaning of Money (ESD) developed by Moreira and Tamayo (1999). As a methodology, we carried out a descriptive study with quantitative approach, through an exploratory factor analysis with 60 people, among which 50% were delinquent in the situation,and the other 50% defaulting on the situation. We identified eight factors, among them Power, Stability, Pain, Budget (prudence), Achievement, Obsession, Retention and Evaluation. The results indicated that individuals in the situation of money in default attribute a meaning attached to ‘power’ and ‘obsession’ greater than the individuals in default. Have the money to the defaulting attribute a meaning that refers to the ‘stability’ rather than individuals in default. In short, it is believed that the money has meanings that go far beyond its primary function, it would be amedium of exchange. That is, there is the influence of other factors such as culture,social class, education, and various other characteristics inherent to each group of individuals.
