Understanding graphic design as a field with great potential for social impact, this research seeks how design can be inserted into a social work. Through direct contact of the authors with the voluntary social work field at “Casa da Criança e do Adolescente - Talitha Kum”, in Goiânia, the study presents the execution of a brand project to fulfill demands found in the institution. Based on a human centered methodology and tools such as participatory design, the project explores how the target audience and the customer can get involved with the process of creating, thus getting involved in the product development and design.
