Item A relevância da distinção kantiana entre virtude e boa vontade para o debate contemporâneo sobre a ética das virtudes(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2023-06-28) Pereira, Rafael RodriguesThe article argues that the distinction between virtue (Tugend) and good will (guter Wille) in Kant's ethics provides a key to understanding the thesis of the centrality of virtue in contemporary Virtue Ethics. Departing from a comparison between Kant's and Aristotle's ethics, we will argue that the concept of excellence (areté) fulfills, in the work of the Greek philosopher, the same function of good will in Kant, constituting moral value from the correct reasons and of adequate motivation. We believe this approach can contribute to stablish Virtues Ethics as an autonomous movement, alternative to utilitarianism and neo-Kantianism, by pointing to structural divergences between these theories due to the different roles attributed to the concept of virtue.Item Ação comunicativa e teoria da história: aproximação de Habermas e Rüsen(Adriano Naves de Brito, 2000-12) Silva, Luiz Sérgio Duarte daThe idea of the sciences of culture approximate the philosopher Jürgen Habermas and the historian Jõrn Rüsen. Both have propositions about the function of the knowledge of simbolic phenomeno today.Item Ação, revelação e subjetividade: Arendt e Nietzsche(2015-06) Silva, Adriano CorreiaIn The human condition (1958), Hannah Arendt argues that the constitution of the subjectivity of an individual is closely linked to action, and to its predicaments. With remarkable harmony this position relates to her appropriation of Nietzsche in the last section of the chapter on action in this work. In this paper we will underline, notwithstanding, that such relationship have close connection with his studies on Nietzsche’s moral in the early 1950s, as may be seen in his Journals of thought (Denktagebuch)Item Acción, libertad y determinación. Comentario al § 18 de la doctrina de la ciencia nova methodo(2012) Santoro, Thiago SumanItem A afinidade entre a arte e conhecimento em Platão, Nietzsche Heidegger(Adriano Naves de Brito, 1999) Drucker, Claudia PellegriniThis stud y comments on Heideg ger' s 1936-1937 course "The Wi ll to Power as Art", in which he compares Plato's and Nietzsche's phi losophy of art. Such an attempt to relate these thinkers does not imply fo rgetting th at most references to Plato on both Nietzsche' s and Heideg ger' s part are critic ai. My aim is only to point out that there is no si mple formula to define the relation between these thinkers.Item Agregados, conjuntos e a tese da indeterminação da referência(2009-10) Velloso, Araceli Rosich SoaresItem O alcance especulativo da vida em Hegel(2015-10) Silva, Márcia Zebina Araújo daAt the beginning of the chapter on life in the Science of Logic, Hegel warns us about the specificity of life as a logical idea and how it should be differentiated from life in the Philosophy of Nature, and its relationship with the spirit. In this paper, we propose to scrutinize the status of life as a logical idea and explore some of its speculative consequences, (i) as the fundamental category for the question of knowledge, (ii) that allows us to think the philosophy of Hegel as holistic.Item Algumas considerações sobre a noção construtiva da verdade(2003-12) Porto, André da Silva; Pereira, Luiz CarlosItem Arendt e Kant: banalidade do mal e mal radical(2013-06) Silva, Adriano CorreiraIn The Origins of Totalitarianism Hannah Arendt employs the term radical evil, understood as absolute evil, to refer to the production of superfluity in concentration camps. In Eichmann in Jerusalem she employs the term banality of evil to refer to the conduct of individuals like Adolf K. Eichmann, who in their superficiality have witnessed an unprecedented gap between the wrongdoer and the stature of their transgressions. I intend to examine in this text the use of these expressions by Arendt, particularly starting from his references to Kant’s reflection on radical evil.Item Arendt sobre Hobbes como o verdadeiro filósofo da burguesia(2015-06) Silva, Adriano CorreiaIn The Origins of Totalitarianism, when examine the elements and origins of total domination, Hannah Arendt devotes special attention to the political emancipation of the bourgeoisie. For Arendt imperialism is the truth of the bourgeois understanding of politics, according to which politics should not be more than a well-organized police force. The truth of bourgeois politics is the reduction of politics to mere force. Our purpose is to reconstruct this movement from the vantage point of arendtian appropriation of Hobbes, "the true philosopher of the bourgeoisie."Item O argumento "saber ou não saber" em Teeteto 187-200(2013-10) Borges, Anderson de PaulaItem Aspectos metafísicos do idealismo em Husserl(Araceli Velloso, 2016-06) Korelc, MartinaIn a present paper I argue that there is metaphysical dimension of the husserlian Idealism, for it implicates a reflection upon a Being. It is presented the relation between the thinking and the Being in Husserl’s Philosophy and the meaning of the Being that results from it; the two regions of Being are the Consciousness, held for the original dimension of Being, from which the worldly or real Being derives as the meaning constituted by the Consciousness. The transcendental Idealism is the unique philosophy capable of explaining the original sense of Being, as response to epistemological and practical demands. Finally I present the sense of Being as act of being, the sense stemming from thomistic Metaphysics, as a possibility to think the sense of Being above the phenomenological Idealism.Item Autoleitura, autocrítica, autocomposição: Nietzsche leitor de si(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2023-06-28) Dalla Vecchia, Ricardo BazilioMy objective in this paper is to investigate two self-readings that Nie tzsche makes of The Birth of Tragedy (1872), that of the posthumous preface An Attempt at Self-Criticism (1886), and that of the session dedicated to the work in Ecce Homo (1888), in order to understand some of their self-reading, self criticism and self-composition expedients.Item Bachelart, e o novo espirito cientifico(Gonzalo Armijos Palácios, 1997-06) Ternes, JoséThis article investigaes important aspects of Bachelard' s epistemology. Blen before Philo sophy, it is science itself that offers values of modemity. To the philosopher is left the strategic function of the vigilance of thought. (Keywords: epistemology, historicity, complexity, nacionality, rupture.)Item Benjamin, leitor de Kierkegaard(2014) Damião, Carla MilaniThis article is a presentation about Walter Benjamin’s interest in Kierkegaard. We searched for some explicit references in Benjamin’s writings concerning the Danish philosopher, mapping quotes and indications, beyond the review that Benjamin wrote about the work of Kierkegaard by Adorno. We considered comments of some interpreters of Kierkegaard and Benjamin, who offered some reflexion on the affinities between the two philosophers. Based on this presentation, we pointed out a possible theoret ical connect ion of vi r tual importance, presented in the work of Benjamin on the German baroque drama.Item O capital político dos riscos econômicos(Thiago Suman Santoro, 2015-08-31) Oliveira, CíceroAbstract: The sociological analysis about some of the most important implications of the recent flexible capitalist system in any way wrong target when binding the general problem of systemic instability to the lack of living conditions, social risks (that this lack is related) and the promotion of a shortterm mentality. After all, these phenomena are witnessed within the particular job, and the policy area in general. Next to the science and technology the economy is one of the main factors that modern institutionalize risk in the social scale. For our approach, developed with facilities in the thoughts of Ulrich Beck, Zygmunt Bauman and Richard Sennett, what matters is that in addition to business opportunities economic risks define the newest tasks of the political sphere socially displaced by the divorce proceedings with the power.Item Os categóricos de observação: uma solução para viabilizar o holismo semântico “moderado” de Quine(2006) Velloso, Araceli Rosich SoaresThe “observational categoricals” constitute a very special set of sentences of great importance in the last phase of Quine’s work. According to Quine, the grammatical structure and therefore the role played by these sentences considered by the philosopher as the neutral empirical content of theories would solve several difficulties in semantics and epistemology. Most urgent among them would be: the incommensurability of theories, their empirical verifiability, as well as explaining the language learning process. In consequence of the importance of their task and their rather late appearance, we consider quite relevant to investigate in details the origin of these choice, as well as the structure and function of these sentences, very peculiars to Quine’s semantical approach.Item Cézanne: a solidão da arte(Adriano Naves de Brito, 1999-06) Palácios, Gonçalo ArmijosThis article contains considerations about creativity in art and philosophy. The basic question is that of the values the artistic and philosophic traditions pretend to impose on the new generations of artists and philosophers. Item Cidadania(Adriano Naves de Brito, 2000-12) Ulhôa, Joel Pimentel deThe profound changes of the world demand a widening of the concept of citizenship produced by the rise of the bourgeoisie, that had its acme during the French Revolution. Defined basically by the Declaration of the Rights of Man and the Citizen, of 1789, reiterated in 1948 by the UN, citizenship cannot dismiss the social and ethical duties that we all, have in view of a true just society, one that rescue the human being within the citizen.
