Qualidade da água de irrigação na cultura do tomate de mesa no município de Goianápolis-GO

Resumo

The objective of this study was to analyze the physico-chemical variables of water quality for irrigation in the cultivation of tomato in the city of Goianápolis - GO. Five points were georeferenced to collect water, made in January, March and May 2012. Chemical analysis was conducted at the University Unit for Science and Technology - UnUCET State University of Goiás - UEG, Anápolis - GO and evaluated under the following aspects: dissolved oxygen, pH, iron, turbidity, calcium, magnesium, electrical conductivity and sodium. It was concluded that the water quality of the measured points are classified as Class 2 water. The oxygen level was different in the rainy season to dry. The pH had a small variation, but the values found were within the limits set for irrigation purposes (6,33 to 6,82). The iron concentration (0.08 to 0.10 mgL -1 ) meet the Standards allowed, the risk of clogging irrigation emitters by the evaluated propertiesis reduced. The water turbidity was high at the beginning of the rains (193 NTU), most of the collections over the water was cleaner (7,35 NTU). The evaluation of electrical conductivity (0,07 to 0,08 dS. m -1 ), calcium (13,64 to 18,28 mg L -1 ) and magnesium (2,56 to 8,19 mg L -1 ) demonstrated that some values were higher than allowed, but not hurt production in tomato. Sodium values are within the limits, no problems occurringin soil salinity. The results demonstrate that it is feasible to irrigation in tomato using water assessed.
