Resumo
The article discusses the treatment the media gives violence, composing what the author denominated as violence culture. The violence culture and violence esthetics collaborates to the inversion of values and to the mixture between fiction and reality. The author analyses the violence theory and the citizenship. It presents the main conclusions reached by researchers from different theoretical approaches on the subject.
