Resumo
Abstract: The research presents an analysis of the effects that the organizational culture causes in the development of teams and in the activities developed in libraries specialized in law. Based on this, the objective was to analyze the influences that the organizational culture has on an information unit specialized in the legal area. For this, a basic, descriptive and exploratory research is carried out, in which a qualitative and quantitative approach was used, determining as a research object the library of the Escola Superior do Ministério Público do Estado de Goiás (ESUMP-GO) thus presenting ESUMP-GO librarian, the Human Resources manager at the Ministério Público do Estado de Goiás (MP-GO) and users of the institution's library as subjects of the study. Regarding the data collection instruments, two semi-structured scripts were developed for use in the interviews, and a questionnaire with open and closed questions addressed to the users of the information unit, the latter had part of its structure based on the Instrumento Brasileiro de Avaliação da Cultura Organizacional (IBACO). From this, it can be observed that the culture of the MP-GO influences the library activities in different ways, especially in the structuring of products, services and forms of care, and in the same way interferes in the training of the employees of the research unit. information. Therefore, it is concluded that the cultural characteristics of the company hinder some processes carried out by the library, which means that there is a need to develop actions that modify these elements.
